SOMERSWORTH - John R. Cincotta, 77, of Davis St. died January 22, 2013, at Watson Fields in Dover following a period of failing health.
He was born in Dover, November 1, 1935, the son of Philip and Mary Grace (Defina) Cincotta.
John served his country from 1953-1962 in the National Guard of N.H.
He worked 40 ½ years at General Electric retiring as a supervisor.
John was a communicant of St. Martin Church and was a member of the Dover Elks and the GEEA Association.
He enjoyed his dog "Charlie," fishing, gardening and bowling, having earned many trophies.
Members of his family include his wife of 55 years, Collette (Lambert) Cincotta,
His sons, Karl and Jennifer Cincotta, Brian and Sandy Cincotta all of Somersworth, Marc Cincotta of Pembroke, daughter, Karen Cincotta of Berwick, his brother, Tom Cincotta of Fl., his sisters, Marlene and Norman Dooley of Burlington, Mass., and Lucy Ambrose of Watertown, Mass. Three beloved grandchildren, Ryan Cincotta, Anthony Cincotta, and Renee Cincotta all of Somersworth.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. in Bernier Funeral Home 49 South St. Somersworth, N.H.
The Dover Elks will hold a service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in St. Martin Church, 120 Maple Street Somersworth with Rev. Michael S. Taylor, pastor, as celebrant.
John's urn will be placed in the columbarium in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth this spring.
The family wishes to extend a sincere and well earned thank you to the entire staff of Watson Fields in Dover and also Beacon Hospice for their amazing treatment and devoted care of both John and the entire family.
