COALGATE, Okla. - Kenneth T. McEntire, 92, a longtime Coalgate resident passed away November 11, 2012 in Denison, T.X. Born March 4, 1920 in Graham, Okla. to William "Tump" Thomas and Ester (Whitwell) McEntire.

He was married to Beth Kathleen Emmert on August 3, 1949 in Manhattan, Kansas, she preceded him in death on June 3, 2005.

He attended Cairo schools, Pittsburg High School, Pittsburg State College and then attended and graduated from K-State with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

He was an Electrical Engineer for General Electric retiring 1980.

He member of the United Methodist Church, Member of the Lion's Club, Chamber of Commerce "Who's Who Engineering" 1964. A member of the Republican Part.

He was survived by his children, Bev McEntire of Victoria, B.C., Canada, Steve McEntire and wife Cindy of New Durham, Carrie Walkup and family of Coalgate, Okla., and Brenda Little and family, of Lehigh, Okla.; his sweetheart, Johnnie Hudson of Coalgate, Okla. His siblings, Carl McEntire and wife Pat of Cairo, Okla.; and Marjorie Crow of Farmers Branch, T.X.; His grandchildren, Lori Lapiana and husband Jonah of Gonic, Kristy Chaisson and husband Dwane of Milton, Fraser McMillian, Tristan McMillian, Aaron McMillan of Victoria, BC, Canada, Kelly Read and husband Ross of Aurora, Colo., and Kevin Gafney of New Durham; his nieces and nephews, Sharolyn Gregory, Doug and Ann Canfield, Brian Crow and family, Clark McEntire, Gail Pritchard, Janet Kerr and Judy Sherman and families, Karen & Kim (née McEntire).

He was preceded in death by his parents, William "W.T." Thomas & Ester (Whitwell) McEntire; his wife, Kay McEntire; and brother, Robert Lee McEntire.

Services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Coalgate United Methodist Church

Interment will be held at Cairo Cemetery. Officiating by Rev. Lyle Shipley. Pallbearers: Doug Confield, Clark McEntire, Brian Crow, Cole Boatright. Honorary Pallbearers: Carl McEntire, Pake McEntire, Larry Cometti, Jimmy Clements, Brian Walkup, Tom Owen, Coalgate Lion's Club. Family night will be Friday evening 6 to 8 p.m.
