NEWMARKET - Lillian B. Charron, 82, of Maplecrest, died September 2, 2013 at Exeter Hospital.
Born October 23, 1930 in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of Raymond G. and Anna M. (Daum) Wolcott.
Lillian was a 1948 graduate of Grover Cleveland High School in Caldwell, N.J. and a 1952 graduate of Simmons College (B.S. in Physical Therapy) in Boston, Mass.
As a physical therapist, she worked with polio victims in the 1950s and many people in the seacoast area in her years with the Oyster River Home Health Association.
She was a Cub Scout leader, Girl Scout leader, co-founder of what is now the Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire (BIANH), leader of the local support group for the BIANH, and a longtime active member of the Newmarket Community Church where she volunteered at the Thrift Shop and was the church Collector for many years.
Lillian loved to read, knit, and garden. She enjoyed traveling and was blessed with the opportunity to travel throughout Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and the United States.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Rosario E. Charron; and her son, Stephen C. Charron.
Lillian is survived by two daughters, Susan A. Charron of Naples, Florida and Janet M. Charron of Newmarket; and two brothers, Calvin Wolcott of Boca Raton, Fla. and Andrew Wolcott of Florham Park, N.J.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 6th from 4-7 p.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter Street, Newmarket.
A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 10 a.m. at the Kent and Pelczar Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Newmarket.
