ROCHESTER - M. Marguerite Pelletier, 98, of Sunbridge of Rochester, died after a long period of failing health.

Mrs. Pelletier was born in Ipswich, Mass., on Feb. 17, 1914, the daughter of Felicien and Marie (Arseneault) Poirier and had been living in Rochester since 1998, moving from Beverly, Mass. In her earlier years, she was the organist at St. Ignatius Church in Ipswich, Mass. She was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Rochester where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann. Marguerite worked assisting the elderly with home health care. One of her favorite joys were the visits of her dear friend Ann Gilbert. We will always miss our "Queen Mother."
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Pelletier, who died in 1995, and by two sons, David in 2007 and Thomas in 1979. The family wishes to thank the Rochester Visiting Nurses and the Living Innovations Program for their help and support.
Surviving members of the family include: one son, Philip Pelletier and his wife Sylvia of Rochester, two daughters, Rochelle Mieras of Alamagordo, N.M, and Elena Poirier of Gonic. She also leaves eighteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the H. J. Grondin& Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main St., Rochester, N.H. on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Holy Rosary Church, followed by burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
