Michael E. StarkeyROCHESTER -- Michael E. Starkey, 50, of Rochester passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2013 surrounded by family.

Mike was currently employed by CertaPro Painters, had also worked at Spinney Creek Shellfish and Undersea Enterprises of Portsmouth.

Mike was a proud member of the Fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons, was Worshipful Master of Strafford Lodge #29, and a 32° Mason of Scottish Rite.

Mike was an NRA member, an avid reader of history, and made the world's best cheesecake. He was a passionate explorer of life and enjoyed scuba diving, coin collecting, metal detecting, gold panning, airplanes, treasure hunting, and housepainting.

Mike is best known for making fast friends with all he met, for his contagious laugh and his giving nature.

He was predeceased by his father, Donald Starkey. He will be greatly missed by his loving mother, Betty Tymoniewicz; his brother Keith Starkey and his wife Lylah; his sisters Deanna Brewer and Shari Starkey; his step-sister Courtney DeRosie and her husband John; all of his fraternity brothers, co-workers and countless friends.

Memorial services are being held on Wednesday, May 8th at 11am at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home on 655 Central Avenue, Dover. A Masonic burial service will immediately follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Dover, NH. All are welcome.
