Nancy Marie Lavoie

BARRINGTON - Nancy Marie Lavoie, 80, passed away on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at St. Ann's Rest Home in Dover after a long illness.

Nancy was born on June 30, 1932, in Lebanon, the daughter of G. Wesley and Lillian Florence (Chagnon) LaBombard.

Nancy was a communicant of the Barrington Chapel of the Nativity and of St. Thomas More Church in Durham.

Nancy was a homemaker and kept herself very busy with all of her hobbies, sewing, knitting, photography, she loved her pets, electronics and gadgets, gardening and cooking. She loved the outdoors, bird watching, and traveling. She enjoyed reading, painting and loved her sports, watching NASCAR, baseball and golf.

Nancy is survived by her children, Walter N. McAlister, Jr. and his wife, Michelle, Bruce W. McAlister and his wife Kathy, and Carolyn Draycott and her husband, Ken; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also two stepchildren, Eric and Jennifer Lavoie.

Nancy was predeceased by her first husband, Walter McAlister, Sr., in 1990 and her second husband, Gerard Lavoie, in 2003.
