YARMOUTH PORT, Mass.— Patrick Cahill died Sunday October 21, 2012 at the McCarthy Hospice Center in Sandwich, Mass., due to complications of pancreatic cancer. He was born on June 26,1957 in Wilmington, Delaware. He is the son of Paul J. Cahill and Nancy S. (O’Neil) Cahill (deceased).<br/><br/>Patrick graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1976 and moved to Cape Cod in 1980. For several years, he worked as a mechanic at the Getty Gas Station in Dennis Center. <br/><br/>In the late 1980s, Patrick moved to Newmarket, to be near other family members and for over a decade worked several jobs. Several years later, Patrick’s health declined and he moved to back to Cape Cod to live with his brother, Sean, in Yarmouth Port, Mass.<br/><br/>Patrick enjoyed numerous hobbies including, boating, cars and was an avid weather enthusiast. He enjoyed watching the Discovery Channel and sharing interesting facts with his family.<br/><br/>Patrick is survived by his son, Sean Patrick; daughter, Jessica and grandson, Axel; his brothers, Paul (Severna Park, Md.), Sean (Yarmouth Port, Mass.), Timothy (Chocorua), Liam (Centerville, Mass.); and sister, Cynthia Riccio (Westford, Mass.). He also leaves dear friends, Leah Douglas, Jessica’s mother and life partner, Marilyn Gamlin. He was the husband of the late Iris Languth, Sean Patrick’s mother. <br/><br/><br/><br/>Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday October 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Morris, O’Connor &amp; Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Dr., South Yarmouth, Mass. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 South Main Street, Centerville, Mass. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Newmarket, N.H.<br/><br/>Flowers in his memory are welcome and gifts in his memory may be made to Hope Hospice, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, Mass. 02601.<br/><br/>Notes of comfort and sympathy may be sent to Patrick’s family at<br/><br/><br/><br/>Visit for an online guest book.
