ELIOT, Maine — Paul F. O'Neill, 85, of Eliot, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Hyder Family Hospice House.

He was born March 2, 1927, in Dorchester, Mass. the son of James A. and Katherine (O'Donnell) O'Neill.
Paul was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during W.W. II. Following the military Paul attended law school at Boston University. Following that he operated his own practice. He loved to scuba dive and would often go to Kittery. He was a regular at his grandchildren's sporting events.
Members of his family include his children, James and his wife Donna O'Neill of Portsmouth, Paul and his wife Lisa O'Neill of Kittery, Christine O'Neill of Dover, Sharon and her husband Dan Tehada of South Berwick, Janice O'Neill Yuzsa and her husband Richard of Connecticut, Nancy O'Neill and her fiance William Shaw of Rhode Island and Jim L. O'Neill of Massachusetts; four grandchildren, Jessica, Elizabeth, Jamie and Kelsey; four great grandchildren, Aaron, Christopher, Stephanie and William; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine (Pendergast) O'Neill and by his grandson, Justin Harding.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover. The funeral will follow the visiting hours at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Dover.
Paul gave his family unconditional love which is eternal and transcendent; no better than any man can provide.
