DOVER - Reah Mae (LaVallee) Perniciaro, age 78, of Dover, N.H., died on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, in the loving care of family and the staff at Watson Fields Assisted Facility of Dover, New Hampshire.

Born in New Britain, Connecticut, on July 17, 1934, she has lived in several states including Connecticut, Vermont, Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada. Reah was married to Tony Perniciaro in 1952 for 25 years before his death in 1977. Reah later married James Harris (Bear) who died in 2001.

Reah grew up in Connecticut in the LaVallee family as the only sister and five brothers, Earl, Joel, Robert, Danny and Roland.

Reah was an outgoing and active woman who owned two successful businesses; "Dawn's Donuts" in Bristol, Connecticut, "The Spaghetti House" in Chester, Vermont and a T-shirt printing company in Naples, Florida.

She is survived by and will be missed by her son, Stephen Perniciaro, daughter-in-law Shirleen Perniciaro of Barrington, and her daughter, Dawn Brown and son-in-law Robert Brown of Naples, Florida. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Niose, Jamie and Giuseppe; as well as three great grandchildren.

Reah wished to be cremated and her ashes spread in Chester, Vermont and Las Vegas, Nevada.

She did not want to have a formal funeral but to have a get together to celebrate the joy of her life. The gathering will be December 15, 2012 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Governor's Inn, 78 Wakefield Street, Rochester, N.H., 03867;
