Richmond H. Parshley, Jr.
FARMINGTON - Richmond H. Parshley, Jr. of Civic Street in Farmington died Friday, March 20, 2015, surrounded by his loving family and the compassionate caregivers at Riverside Rest Home.
Born November 19th, 1926, to Richmond H. Sr. and Bernice (Adams) Parshley in Farmington, he attended schools in Farmington.
After serving in the US Navy as a medic in WWII, Rich, as he was known at work, spent most of his career at Clarostat Mfg. in Dover, serving as Plant Manager for many years before retirement. He was also a TV repairman in the Farmington area for many years.
Dick, as he was called by his family, is survived by his wife of 66 years, Edna (Greeley), their son Fred (Shellie) Parshley; their daughters Beverly Henderson, Kathy (Mark) Seaver, Vicki Parshley and Debra (Rick) DeRosa. He also leaves behind grandchildren Karla (Fab) Couasnon, whom they raised, Kristie (Ron) Holtz, Kim (Anthony) Grenon, Keith Henderson, James Roberge, Devon Parshley and Emily Seaver. Eight great-grandchildren, a brother Floyd Parshley, and sisters Ardys Elliott and Lois Beaudoin as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Frank Parshley.
At his request there will be no calling hours and a private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. A private celebration of his life will be held in July. Donations in his memory can be made to Riverside Rest Home – Unit 5, 276 County Farm Road, Dover, N.H. 03820.
