Robert Wengrzynek, Sr.

NEW DURHAM - Robert (Bob) Wengrzynek, Sr. 84, died at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 10, 2013.

The son of the late Benjamin and Josephine Wengrzynek, he was born & raised in New Brunswick, New Jersey, 1928 and raised his family in East Brunswick, N.J. before relocating to New Hampshire.

Robert served in the United States Navy during WWII then in the early 70s Bob became the 1st "Avon Man," to assist his wife Sherle. He was a full time lab technician with Rhodia Chemicals in New Jersey until his retirement with Sherle moving to Hampton, as the owners of Handy Dan's "Mom & Pop" store, in 1979. After retiring from Handy Dan's, Bob & Sherle retired to New Durham, in 1988. Next to the love of his family, his other passion was Rutger's University sports. He was also well known for his sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sherle Wengrzynek; and his sister, Catherine Wengynek of Portsmouth; two sons, Robert J Wengrzynek, Jr. and his wife Sue, Barry Wengrzynek and his wife Kelly, all of Old Town, Maine; four daughters Kathryn Livingston of Marydel, Del., Barbara Shine and her husband Dan of Milltown, N.J, Sheila Rainville and her husband Robert Porter of Rochester, Judi Nicastro & John Nicastro of New Durham; ten grandchildren, Anne Langley, Kimberly Gneiting, Danielle Shine, Lisa Nicastro, Nicole Bosse, Angela Nicastro, Ryan Wengrzynek, Tyler, Dakota, & Marrissa Wengrzynek, and three great grandsons, Jackson, Noah and Zachary. He is predeceased by his granddaughter Michelle Gneiting.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of Sherle Wengrzynek.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester N.H. 03867.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Spring.
