Ronald N. Turcotte

BERWICK, Maine - Ronald N. Turcotte, 80 years, of Pine Hill Road, Berwick, died December 14 after a short illness at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born February 9, 1932 in Dover, N.H., a son of Emelien (Red) and Grace (Cottrell) Turcotte. He attended Berwick High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army after his graduation. He worked at General Electric for seven years and as a sales agent for Prudential Insurance for 30 years. After retirement, he worked at Purdy-Wiggins Funeral Home and at Laing-Bibber Funeral Chapel. He also served as treasurer of the Berwick Sewer Department. On November 25, 1954 Ron married his sweetheart, Patricia Boire.

Ron loved his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed Pat's cooking, camp at Balch Lake, hunting, cards, and their winter home in Palm Harbor, Fla.

Ron was predeceased by his son, Kenneth, in 1982.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Pat; his children, Larry Turcotte, and his wife, Jemma Mancini, of Kentucky, Sheila, and her husband, Ted Jenis, of Dover, N.H., and James, and his wife, Mary Beth Turcotte, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; five grandchildren, Jaalyn, and her husband, Eric Knox, Nikki Jenis, Joseph Turcotte, Maria Turcotte, and Monica Michaud; his brother, Lenny, and his wife, Helen Turcotte, of Acton, Maine; his brother-in-law, Paul Vincent; his sister-in-law, Madeline Boire; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, December 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Laing-Bibber Funeral Chapel, 36 Rochester Street, Berwick, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church in Somersworth, N.H. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Berwick.
