ROCHESTER — Sandra L. Taylor, 71, of 1 Easter Lane, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 14, 2012, at her home.

Born Jan. 18, 1941, in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., She was the daughter of the late Clayton and Elsie (Gifford) LeBarron.

She met her husband at Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Albany, N.Y. while he was in the U.S. Coast Guard. She was active in military wives clubs throughout his thirty-one years of service. She was active in the church community at each duty station. The couple finally settled in New Hampshire, where she attended the True Memorial Baptist Church.

Sandy loved animals. She volunteered at the Cocheco Valley Humane Society for many years. She also loved to travel, spending much of her time traveling and camping. Sandy was also an avid bowler with a style all her own. She was an Avon lady for over twenty-five years and enjoyed her outings with the ladies of the Red Hat Society.

Sandy loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by her husband of almost fifty years, Grant C. Taylor Sr. of Rochester; her son, Grant Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Santa Rosa, Calif.; her daughter, Sheila of San Ramon, Calif.; and her son, Dan and his wife Amy of Alexandria, Va. She loved her five grandchildren, Ashley, Kathleen, Maria, Austin, and Scott. She is survived by her siblings, Lois Phelps and her husband Ron of Ballston Spa, N.Y., Janice Tate and her husband Jerry of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., her sister, Clara LeBarron and partner Jim Kirk of Albany, N.Y., and her brother, Doug LeBarron and his wife Claudia of Raleigh, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis LeBarron.

Calling hours will be held Monday, June 18, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. & 6 to 8 p.m. at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main Street, Rochester, N.H. 03867

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the True Memorial Baptist Church, 21 Ten Rod Road, Rochester, N.H.

Burial will be Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the NH Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, N.H.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Cocheco Valley Humane Society, 262 County Farm Road, Dover, N.H. 03820.
