HAMPTON FALLS — Spyridon P. Antippas, 86, of Hampton Falls, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at the Exeter Hospital in Exeter.

He was born on Dec. 4, 1924, in Bralia, Romania, a son of Panaghis and Ourania (Marchessini) Antippas.

Mr. Antippas served his country in the United States Army and then went on to graduate from MIT with a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering in 1948.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an electrical engineer for IBM for over 35 years.

Mr. Antippas was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Portsmouth.

Besides his wife, Anne (Vlahakis) Antippas of 52 years, survivors include a sister-in-law, Beatrice Belkakis; a brother-in-law, Constantine Vlahakis; niece, Katherine Vlahakis; nephew, Thomas Belkakis and his wife, Donna; niece, Maxine Guillemette and her husband, Richard; niece, Ourania Stassinopoulos; and a grandniece, Natalie Guillemette.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 40 Andrew Jarvis Drive, Portsmouth. Friends invited. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 15 Middle St., Portsmouth, NH 03801.
