SHAPLEIGH - Thomas Richard Sroka, 66, of Shapleigh, formerly of Pawtucket, R.I., passed away at his home on Monday, Nov. 19, after a courageous 13-year battle with cancer.

Tom loved classic cars. He had a fondness for Cadillacs and his heavy equipment.
He loved his family very much and fought very hard for them. His courage and high spirits inspired all who met him. He will be remembered as a kind and loving man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Tom is survived by his wife of 32 years, Claudia LaGrandeur; five children, Robin (Sroka) Patenaude, Thomas Sroka, Jr., Shannon LaGrandeur, Nicholas Sroka and Christie Sroka; two siblings, Paul Sroka and Barbara Dramby; two stepsons; five grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and numerous "adopted" children.
Visitation and a funeral service were held on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home in Springvale. A reception followed at the Sanford VFW post.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
