Valmore Labissonniere

SOMERSWORTH - Valmore Labissonniere, 93, most recently of Milton, formerly of Rochester & a longtime resident of Somersworth died December 23, 2012

He was born in Somersworth November 12, 1919 the son of Joseph and Leonie (Perreault) Labissonniere.

Valmore was a graduate of Holy Trinity School, Somersworth High School Class of 1937 and McIntosh Business College Class of 1948.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II.

Val owned and operated Val's Getty in Somersworth for over 34 years. He was Past President of the Somersworth Rotary Club (1976 – 1977) and he was a member of Good Ol' Sports in Rochester. Dancing was a very important part of Val's life.

Val's wife, Irene R. (Desharnais) Labissonniere died in 2000.

Members of his family include his daughter, Susan and her husband Kenneth Houle of Milton, his grandchildren, Lisa Houle of Va. and James and his wife, Kristin Houle of Durham, N.H., his great granddaughters, Jahrie and Sadie His cousin, Marlene O'Neil of Manchester, N.H. also survives him.

Visitation will be Friday from 9 – 11 a.m. in Bernier Funeral Home 49 South St. Somersworth followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Mark Rideout officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.

The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made in Val's memory to Cornerstone VNA 178 Farmington Rd. Rochester, NH 03867
