William I. Stanley

DOVER - William I. Stanley, 68, of Martha's Way, died on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Veteran's Hospital in Manchester.

He was born on October 11, 1944 in Portsmouth; the son of the late Stella Daisy Stanley. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years during the Vietnam War; Receiving Medals of Honor for being a Sharpshooter, a Marksman, a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.

He most recently lived in Dover until his illness sent him to the VA Hospital. He was well known for all of his stories; he always had a story to tell.
