Ruth M. (Finck) Charron

DOVER - Ruth M. (Finck) Charron, 90, formerly of Newburyport, Mass. died March 2, 2014 at St. Ann Healthcare Center following a brief period of failing health.
Ruth was born in Lawrence, Mass. October 12, 1923 the daughter of Julius and Madeline (Stadler) Finck.
She was a 1942 graduate of Haverhill High School, a 1944 graduate of MacIntosh Business College and a 1965 graduate of Essex "Aggie."
A devout Catholic, Ruth was active in her churches as an Eucharist Minister, Lector, CCD teacher, and a member of the Third Order Of Carmelites and she was a Cursillista from many years ago.
April 10, 1963, Ruth's husband Robert, died aboard the USS Thresher. Ruth went back to school to earn her nursing degree in order to raise her five children. She worked for many years as an LPN at Anna Jaques Hospital.
When the effects of polio Ruth contracted at the age of twelve, caused more challenges, she became a secretary in the laboratory of AJH.
Her spirituality and generosity were a great example to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Clarice Proia.
Members of Ruth's family include her children and their spouses: Robert E. (Nyleen) Charron, Jr. of Penacook, Paul F. (Jan) Charron of Berwick, Maine, Anne-Marie (Charlie) Milliken of Dracut, Mass., Theresa A. (Timothy) Conley of Mont., and Peter J. (Nancy) Charron, Sr. of Rochester, also, her grandchildren, Marcy, Dana, Keri, Erin, Rebecca, Michelle, Kevin, Peter and Maria, as well as her great grandchildren, Skylar, Liam and a child due in October.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. in the Gathering Space of Holy Rosary Church, 189 North Main St. Rochester, N.H. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30.
Following cremation, Ruth will be able to share resting space with her parents in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, Mass. and at sea with her beloved husband.
