ELIOT, Maine - Malcolm M. Parker, 80 of Hanscom Road In Eliot, died on March 1, 2014, at York Hospital.
Born April 1, 1933, in Andover, Mass., he was the son of Claude M. and Gladys (Van Buskirk) Parker. He was raised in Eliot and attended local schools graduating from Eliot High School.
Malcolm served his country as a member of the United States Army. In 1955 he married his loving wife Doris (Ellis) Parker and together they lived for a time in Kittery before making Eliot their home, first on Pleasant Street then, in 1961, settling on Hanscom Road.
Malcolm worked at General Electric in Somersworth for many years. He was a lifelong truck driver working for L.W. Morgridge and William Shapleigh Construction both in Eliot.
He loved to spend time at camp on Wilson Lake in Acton, where the summer boating antics amused everyone on the lake. He enjoyed his antique automobiles and was always working on one of them. He enjoyed showing them at the local car shows.
Malcolm was predeceased by his beloved wife Doris in 2009 He is survived by his loving family, daughters Vicki and her husband Dennis Frost of South Berwick and Cheryl Parker-Emond of Eliot; granddaughters Jessica Cloutier, Melissa Parker, Courtney Cardinal and Abigail Emond; grandson Nicholas Emond; three great granddaughters, Kayla, Brylee and Shiloh; two great grandsons, Frederick and Maverick and the much loved family dogs Riley, Hugo and Grim.
Funeral services will be private. Donations may be made in his memory to the SPCA.
Care for the Parker family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.
