Robert F. WalshKITTERY, Maine - Robert F. Walsh, Kittery, Maine, passed away on April 21, 2014. Born February 4, 1929, in Everett, Mass., he was preceded in death by his loving parents Clifford and Lena Walsh, his dear wife Brenda Walsh, and sisters Helen Wedge and Shirley Rowe.

Retired from the U.S. Navy, he was a proud member of the Seabees, built his first home himself, and spent many years running his own home construction and remodeling company. A self-taught engineer, he helped build the laser used in the mid-1960s for eye surgery on Great Britain's Duke of Windsor. While members of Kittery and Portsmouth car clubs, Bob and Brenda enjoyed road trips and car shows, displaying his pride and joy, a vintage Cadillac.
Bob is survived by an adopted son and daughter, six stepchildren, and nieces and nephews spread throughout the U.S.A. He will be especially missed by his special friend Dorothy Kraft, his niece Dale (Barry) of South Carolina, his Navy buddies, close neighbor Charlie, friends and former coworkers. The family sends special, heartfelt thanks to Jim, Carol, Frank and Pat and other members of The Church at Spruce Creek, Kittery, Maine, as well as the Beacon Hospice and Greater Faith Works, for the loving comfort and round-the-clock care they provided to Bob throughout his extended illness.
A memorial service will be held at The Church at Spruce Creek, 31 Wilson Road, Kittery, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
