CHELMSF0RD - Ann Marie (Duffy) Kehoe, 78, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Boston Medical Center. A long-time resident of Chelmsford, MA she was born on December 3, 1935 to James E. and Anna (White) Duffy of Dover, N.H. She was married to Andrew F. Kehoe, Esq. who died on November 24, 1988. They had two daughters Elizabeth Ann Kehoe, also of Chelmsford, and Katherine Mary (Kehoe) Battles of Durham, N.H.
In addition to her daughters, Ann Marie is survived by her brother John P. Duffy of Durham, NH, her granddaughters Abigail Marie Battles of Durham, NH and Anna Rose Kehoe of Chelmsford, MA, her sisters-in-law Rosemary (Kehoe) Sutich and her husband John of Melrose, MA, Margaret (Kehoe) Wallace of Lee Center, NY, and Patricia (Wester) Duffy of Wheaton, IL, many nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as her long-time friend, Dr. Charles Broe of Chelmsford, MA. She was predeceased by her brother, James E. Duffy, Jr. of Wheaton, IL, who died in 2006.
A graduate of Mount St. Mary College in Hooksett, NH, Ann Marie was a business teacher at several high schools throughout New York and Massachusetts and later enjoyed a long career as a Realtor associated with Coldwell Banker Real Estate here in Chelmsford. She was a communicant of Saint Mary's Church in Chelmsford. Ann Marie enjoyed tennis and golf and was a lifetime member of Vesper Country Club as well as Chelmsford Swim and Tennis. She served as the President of the Chelmsford Garden Club, Lowell Lawyer's Wives' Club, the Catholic College Club of Lowell, and the American Association of University Women. Although Ann Marie never sought to be the star, she always made sure she did everything she could to ensure that others shined.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 30 from 4 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 1 at 11 o'clock at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford, Mass. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
