PORT CHARLOTTE, Florida — Gail Mohrbacher, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Jan. 8, 2010.

Gail was born in Portland, Maine, on Feb. 27, 1948, the daughter of Donald and Monica Baker Willis.

She graduated from Gardiner Area High School in 1966. In 1974, she graduated with a B.A. in English from University of Maine in Portland-Gorham, where she also earned her Master's degree in education leadership in 1998.

For 27 years, Gail taught French, English and reading at Marshwood Junior High School in South Berwick and Eliot, Maine, where she was active in the Quamphegan Education Association. She retired to Florida in 2005.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Amy Brown, of Sanford, Maine, and Jennifer Simard, of Saco, Maine; and three grandchildren, Levi and Kaya Brown, of Sanford, and Chris Simard, of Saco.

Arrangements are by the National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
