DOVER — Craig Brian Labrie, 56, of Upper Factory Road, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital after a courageous battle with a long illness.

He was born on March 31, 1954, in Dover, N.H., the son of Raymond J. Labrie and Minta J. (Schrieber) Waite.

Craig had 17 U.S. patents and attended UNH while he worked at Textron-Davison Rubber as an estimator engineer. He retired after 35 years. He then worked at Thermopol and retired in 2007. Craig enjoyed cars, especially his 1988 Corvette; he also enjoyed fishing and staying at home.

He was predeceased by his father, Raymond J. Labrie.

He is survived by his mother, Minta Waite of Florida; his son, Shawn Labrie of Strafford and a sister, Zoe Amy Perrault, also of Florida.

Friends and family may gather on May 15 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at his residence, 59 Upper Factory Road in Dover, where the family will have a celebration of his life.
