ROLLINSFORD — Leonard A. Jankowski, 77, died at his home Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, following a period of declining health.

Leonard was born in Salem, Mass., Aug. 7, 1933, the son of Alexander and Aniela (Verdra) Jankowski. He attended UNH and operated his own business, Seacoast Cutting and Embossing, from 1969 to his retirement in 2000.

In his earlier years, he was an avid candlepin bowler, winning numerous awards. Later in life he had a natural green thumb and enjoyed his vegetable garden. He enjoyed his grandchildren, hunting and fishing.

He was predeceased by a brother, John Jankowski and two sisters, Helen Piper and Irene Flanagan.

Survivors include his wife, Jan (Tuttle) Jankowski of Rollinsford; a son, Peter Jankowski of Dudley, Mass.; three daughters, Jill Williams of Rollinsford, Cam Brisard of Hartwick, N.Y., Kelly Holden of Madbury, and 15 grandchildren, Jassa, Hunter, Parker, Kye, Sam, Lauren, Max, Emily, Sophia, Abby, Mason, Colton, Aniela, Shuler, and Addie.

Friends may call Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Rollinsford, with a Mass of Christian burial to follow with Fr. Mike Taylor, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in New Town Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
