WELLS, Maine—Edwin Q, Morgridge, age 81, of Wells, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at York Hospital after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer.

He was born September 14, 1929 in Dover, N.H., the son of the late Otis and Phyllis Morgridge. Edwin attended Berwick Academy in South Berwick and was an avid member of the Odd Fellows for many years. He worked as a Supervisor at Harris Graphics for many years until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Van de Meulebroecke Morgridge; his 3 sons, David and his wife Karen of Virginia Beach, Va., Larry Morgridge and Rodney Morgridge, both of Wells; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Phaedra, Renee, Carley and Paige, as well as four great grandchildren, Kassandra, Seth and Logan Batchelder and Kara Long. He is also survived by his sisters, Rena Parent, Marjorie Huntress, Mable Rousseau, Florence Chagnon, Phyllis White and Lucinda Chouinard and his brothers, Robert, Charles and Norman Morgridge.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 30th at 1 p.m. in St. Charles Cemetery, Old Rochester, Road, Dover, NH. Friends who wish may contribute to the , Lung Cancer Research, 1 Maine Street, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
