BARRINGTON — Arlene A. (Doughty) Kelley, 76, of 8 Juniper Lane in Barrington, died Dec. 20, 2010, at Colonial Hill Care and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.

Arlene was born in Lynn. Mass., Sept. 13, 1934, to the late William and Mary Doughty.
Arlene was an LNA at Riverside Rest Home in Dover, retiring in 1997. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid knitter and knitted many hats and mittens for several charities. She attended First United Methodist Church in Rochester with her family. She also loved her cat "Shadow," who gave her many happy years.
Arlene is survived by her children, Kathleen (Kelley) Sanford and her husband, Russell, of Rochester, Maureen (Kelley) Lehman and her husband, Bruce, of Barrington, Mary Jane (Kelley) Locke and her husband, Frank, of Barrington. She leaves a brother, William Doughty Jr. of Lynn, Mass., and Carol Cornacchia of Cocoa, Fla.
Arlene was predeceased by her husband, John Leo Kelley Jr. and son, John Leo Kelley III. She also leaves several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit Tuesday, Dec. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at R. M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. James Cann in the Chapel. A private burial will be in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery, Barrington.
