UNION — Lucienne P. (Goyette) Blanchard, 93, of Wakefield Road in Union, died peacefully Jan. 24, 2011, surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 2, 1917, the daughter of William H. and Marie A. (Boulet) Goyette of Darien, Conn. She graduated from Darien High School in 1935.
Lucienne worked for various companies in the electronic manufacturing field and as a switchboard operator. Before finally retiring, she also worked at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro as a switchboard operator.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, knitting, and crocheting, as well as her daily crossword puzzles. She also crocheted "lap robes" for cancer patients in the Oncology department at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Lucienne was predeceased by her husband, Mayo H. Blanchard; three sisters, Pauline Sludock of Darien, Conn., Louise Fletcher of Nova Scotia, and Dorothy Burton of Bethel, Conn.; three brothers, Ernest Goyette of Chichester, Conn., Armand Goyette of Hartford, Conn., and William Goyette of Los Angeles, Calif., and also her son, Alfred W. Blanchard of Stamford, Conn.
She is survived by her son, Phillip H. Blanchard and his wife, Shirley, of Thomaston, Conn.; her daughter, Patricia M. Nichols and her husband, Everett (Butch) of Union; her daughter, Lucienne A. Bonina and her husband, Edward, of Pompano Beach, Fla., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In accordance with Lucienne's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. A private celebration of life will be held later in the summer.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Central NH VNA & Hospice, 240 South Main St., Wolfeboro, NH 03894.
