MILTON — Robert (Bobby) Fortier, 69, of 9 Sleeping Bear Drive, died Sept. 16, 2011, at Colonial Hill of Rochester.

Bobby was born in Somersworth, Sept. 12, 1942, the son of Joseph "Bob" and Rita (Gauthier) Fortier.
He was a graduate of St. Martin Academy and Somersworth High School.
Bobby served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post 47, Rollinsford and the Eagles Club, Somersworth, and he was an avid pool player having won a State Tournament.
Members of the family include his wife of 20 years, Sharon (Hitchcock) Fortier; stepfather, Wilmer "Bud" Morneau; his daughters, Michele Newton of Auburn, Maine and Jacqueline Andrews of Raymond, Maine; his son, Michael Fortier and several stepchildren; his sisters, Lucille Corson of Rochester and Elaine (Mrs. Melvin) Lemieux of Tavares, Fla.; seven stepbrothers; one stepsister, six grandchildren, Christopher Newton, Dan Cutter, Justin Scott, William Tanner, Todd Tanner, Makayla Tanner also, several great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth, with the Rev. Michael S. Taylor, officiating.
Members of the U.S. Marine Corps and the American Legion Post 47, Rollinsford, will render military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lahey Clinic, 41 Mall Rd., Burlington, MA 01805.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South St., Somersworth.
