ROCHESTER — Henry Joseph Menard, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H. Henry was always known as "Pepe", by his loving family. Pepe was born on October 26, 1921, in Lebanon, Maine. He had just celebrated his 90th birthday. He was a lifelong resident of Rochester, N.H.

Pepe is survived by his loving wife, of 65 years, Phyllis (Cate) Menard; grand- daughter, Jessie (Shepard) Schramm and husband, Gregg, Boynton Beach, Fla.; grandson, Christopher Shepard, and wife, Michelle, of Rochester, N.H. and four great grandchildren; Tyler and Mathew Shepard and Zachary and Aubrie Schramm.
Pepe was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce (Menard) Shepard; his sister, Margie (Menard) Johnston and brothers Don, Albert and Joseph Menard.
Pepe was very proud of his service in the Navy during World War II. In his younger years, he was an avid golfer and loved to travel with his family. Up until recently, he grew wonderful flowers at his home on Milton Road. Pepe's greatest joy was his family. He was always there. He was a second father to his grandchildren and took great joy in his four great grandchildren.
We will miss you Pepe.
Private graveside service will be held at the Franklin Street cemetery in the near future.
