SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Jason David Cynewski, 25, died Nov. 14, 2012 in Corinth as a result of an auto accident.

He was born May 31, 1987, in Dover, N.H., the son of David and Lori (Knapp) Cynewski. Jason grew up as a member of St. Michael's Church in South Berwick and attended Marshwood schools in South Berwick. In his senior year, he transferred to and graduated from Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft. Jason had much success as a varsity football and basketball athlete at both schools.

Jason was an avid follower of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Celtics. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially both sets of Grandparents, with whom he was especially close. He also enjoyed running, wake boarding, and snow skiing, especially time spent at Sugarloaf. Jason loved music and could recite any Bob Dylan lyric and the story behind the song.

He is survived by his parents and sister Lindsey of South Berwick; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Janice Cynewski of Corinth; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Lois Knapp of The Villages, Florida; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be at Our Lady of Angels Parish, 160 Agamenticus Road, South Berwick, on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. with a funeral mass to follow at 6 p.m. with Father Ray Skehan officiating. Those who wish may make contributions in Jason's memory to www.Bullying.org.
