KITTERY - Bruce H. Woodman, 61, of Kittery, died at York Hospital following a period of failing health.

He was the son of Frank H. (predeceased) and Earline A. (Pease) Woodman, of Kittery.

He was employed by the Market Basket in Portsmouth, N.H., Washburn Plumbing & Heating and Woodman's Handyman/Trucking Service during his lifetime.

He was a graduate of R.W. Traip Academy.

His gregarious nature will long be remembered, as he always was smiling and extending a helping hand. Also, he enjoyed gardening and animals.

He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle and had many friends.

In lieu of flowers, Bruce wished for his life to be celebrated and not mourned. He wanted to be remembered in saying that "it has been the simple acts of kindness that matter the most."

Members of his family also include Winnifred (Woodman) and Bruce Linney, of Alfred; Laura Rex, of Georgia; Shawn and Sheila Rex, of Berwick; and Kevin Rex, of Portsmouth, N.H.

Family members will celebrate his life with a committal ceremony in the early summer next year.

Arrangements are entrusted to the J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery.
