Julian Rogier

NOTTINGHAM - Julian Gilbert "Gil" Rogier, longtime resident of Rogier Place, Nottingham, NH [North River Lake] has gone to be with the Lord on Dec. 6, 2012, after a recently diagnosed and hard fought battle with cancer.

Gil was born on March 4, 1944, to Frank and Gussie (Turner) Rogier of Court St, Medford, Mass. He was a graduate of Medford High School in 1962. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam 1962-1966 making the rank of Store Keeper 2nd Class just prior to discharge.

He leaves behind his loving brother Charles Rogier and his wife Denise of Medford, Mass.; daughter Cindy Hammond and husband, David of Waterboro, Maine; son John Rogier and his wife, Monica of Nottingham, N.H.; son Jaysen Rogier and wife Karen of Lebanon, Maine; stepson David Ellis of Hudson, N.H, stepdaughter Millie Ellis of Pembroke, N.H.; unofficially adopted and loved son Rick McAllister of Northwood, NH; eight wonderfully and proudly cherished grandchildren, Ben, Andrew, & Jacob Hammond, Samantha, Nicole, Rebekah, & Hannah Rogier, and Erica Ellis-Moore(of Raymond, N.H.); and his first great grandchild Lucas Moore (of Raymond, N.H.). Gil enjoyed his retirement days chumming around with his best friend Ray Kennard of Nottingham, N.H. He also loved his daily walks on Cooper Hill, talks and laughs with friends, and being part of the local community.

Visitation will be held on Mon., Dec.10, 2012 from 3-5:00pm at Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Rd., Rt. 4, Lee, NH with a service to follow at 5 p.m., with Rev. Scott Littlefield, officiating. A reception to follow.
