DOVER - Rita C. Duncan, 78, formerly of Cloverdale Circle died Sunday December 2, 2012 at Riverside Rest Home.

Born in Skowhegan, Maine August 16, 1934 the daughter of Arthur and Annie (Wheeler) Turcotte. The family moved to Dover and she graduated from St. Mary's Academy.

After her marriage in 1952, she became a member of St. John's United Methodist Church teaching Sunday School for many years. In her later years, she earned certificates at UNH School of Continuing Education for early childhood development while working at Dover Daycare Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Evans and husband, Thomas Collins of Spring Hill, Fla.; a grandson, Jeffrey Evans and wife, Hayley of Manchester; two sisters, Kathleen Lewton and Cheryl Juillette, both of California; three brothers, Louis Turcotte and wife, Pearl and Paul Turcotte all of Maine, Philip Turcotte and wife, Pauline of North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews and cousins; also, her dear friend Eunice Ekengren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Douglas Duncan, who died in 2006, and six sisters, Terry Decato, Lillian Rodrique, Jeannie Turcotte, Bernadette Ouellette, Cecilia Lazarus and Lorraine Wood and three brothers, Walter (Sonny) Turcotte, James Turcotte and Vincent Turcotte.

Friends are invited to call Thursday December 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave. where funeral services will be held at noon with Rev. Mark Monson Alley officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
