Corey Pavuk
YORK, Maine - Corey Alan Pavuk, 21, of Brave Boat Harbor Road in York, died on January 18, 2013. He was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on March 2, 1991. He was the son of Kurt Pavuk of Kittery, Maine and the late Donna Lee.
Corey lived in Wyoming and Arizona as a child, returning to the Seacoast when he was ten years old. As a teenager, Corey made his home in York where he graduated from York High School in 2009.
In his teen years he worked as a lobster fisherman and following graduation he took pleasure working in the local restaurant industry at Muddy River Marketplace, the Roundabout Diner, When Pigs Fly Pizzeria, and most recently as the manager at Woody's Wood Grill Pizza in York.
Corey treasured being outdoors; fishing with family and spending time at camp. He also enjoyed working, soccer, and bowling. That's right, bowling! Corey was happiest surrounded by his family and his girlfriend. His playful nature was cherished by all who loved him especially by his many young cousins who adored him.
Corey is survived by his father, Kurt Pavuk, his brother, Kenny Lee, his grandfather, Milan Pavuk, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the First Parish Church in York, Maine.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to the Maine Breast Cancer Coalition www.mainebreastcancer.org. Care for the Pavuk family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.
