Frederick Hall

STRAFFORD - Frederick Guy Hall Sr., age 75 of Strafford Road in Strafford, NH died March 6, 2013 at the Riverside Rest Home in Dover, N.H. after a lengthy illness.

Born June 2, 1937, in Rochester, N.H., the son of Leon G. and Bernice M. (Davis) Hall, he was raised in Rochester and had lived there many years before moving to Barrington, N.H., for several years and has resided in Strafford since 1988.

Fred had worked at many area shoe shops, including Thom McAn Shoe Co. of Somersworth. He had enjoyed working on cars.

Survived by his wife of 55 years: Sonja B. (Cook) Hall of Strafford, 3 sons: Randy and his wife Ellen Hall of Strafford, Ronald Hall and Frederick Hall Jr. both of Gonic, 3 daughters: Christine Brownell of Rochester, Debra and her husband Jim Thomas of Milton and Sonya Hall and partner Brian Smith of Strafford, 1 brother: Leon and his wife Claire Hall of Clearwater, Fla., 2 Sisters: Beverly and her husband Raymond Keene of New Mexico and Hazel Hall, several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, 1 daughter: Linda May Hall, 1 sister Dottie Mathews and son-in-law James Brownell.

Memorial service for Fred will be held on Wednesday March 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Peaslee Funeral Home 24 Central Street Farmington, N.H. Calling Hour will be from 10-11 a.m. before the service. Rev. John Hastings will officiate. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the Cocheco Valley Humane Society 262 County Farm Road Dover, NH 03820.
