Louise Caroline Eschmann

BARRINGTON - Louise Caroline Eschmann, formerly of Barrington, passed away peacefully at Merrimack County Nursing Home on March 27, 2013, at the age of 88.

Louise was born in Dover, on Sept. 7, 1924. She was the daughter of William Elliott Sr. and Caroline (Hackett) Elliott.

Louise had been an employee of General Electric in Somersworth.

On Dec. 13, 1947, she married Leon James Eschmann, also of Dover. They raised two loving daughters together. They resided in Dover until 1964 when they moved to Barrington.

Louise and Leon attended Barrington Congregational Church for many years. Louise participated in numerous roles with the Women's Fellowship committee. She served in the Program committee from 1966-1972. She was also Corresponding Secretary from 1967-1972. She was 1st Vice President from 1972-1974 and President from 1974-1976. From then she went on to be Recording Secretary from 1978-1984. She served in each capacity with her love for perfection and her love of her Lord Jesus.

Louise was predeceased by her parents, William and Caroline Elliott of Dover; and her brother William Elliott Jr. of Shapleigh, Maine.

Her remaining relatives are her two daughters Cynthia (Eschmann) Hughes of Dover, and Deborah (Eschmann) Hemeon of Barrington, and their husbands, Daniel Hughes and David A. Hemeon; three grandchildren, David A. Hughes and his wife Roxanne of Rochester, Heather (Hughes) Moreau of Somersworth, Alicia L. (Hemeon) Palumbo of Barrington; four great-grandchildren, Jessica Moreau, Casey Moreau, Brianna Moreau and Katlyn Palumbo; two great-great-grandchildren, Kylieanne Watson and Aria Rose Watson; and many precious nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and friends may call from 5-6 p.m. on Monday, April 1, at Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Road, Lee, N.H., with the funeral service immediately following, officiated by Pastor James Frase. The internment service will be held further into the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Barrington.
