Benjamin W. Hoyt

BARRINGTON - Benjamin W. Hoyt, 89, formerly of Tolend Rd died October 24, 2013 at the Dover Rehab and Living Center in Dover.

Born July 22, 1924 in Wakefield NH he was the son of the late Benjamin and Matilda (Hill) Hoyt.

Mr. Hoyt has lived in Barrington for the past 50 years after moving from Rollinsford. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed as a machinist at Harris Graphics for many years. He enjoyed collecting coins and playing his harmonica and in his younger years enjoyed using his old saw mill. He was awarded the Governors Award for his outstanding volunteer work.

Members of his family include his wife of 58 years, Alberta Hoyt of Rochester, his son Benjamin Hoyt JR of Barrington, 4 granddaughters and 11 great grandchildren, a brother Robert Hoyt of Wisconsin. He is predeceased by 5 sisters and 1 brother.
