V. Vincent Vittum

LITTLETON - V. Vincent Vittum, 95, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Littleton Regional Hospital in Littleton, NH after a period of failing health.

Vincent was born in Laconia, on November 11, 1918, the son of Ray and Katherine (Kiley) Vittum and lived most of his life in Rochester, before moving to Littleton. He was predeceased by his wife Gloria (Godbout) Vittum who died in 1997. Before his retirement he worked as the meat manager at the commissary at Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth. Before his employment at the air base he was the owner/operator of Quality Market in Rochester. He was a member of the Rochester Country Club and enjoyed playing golf. He enjoyed his family and spending time with his grandchildren and going on bus trips with the seniors.

Surviving members of the family include: one daughter Marie A. Barisano and her husband Richard of Lincoln, two grandchildren, Gina Dortona and her husband Gary and Christopher Barisano and his wife Michelle, four grandchildren, Jake Barisano, Sam Barisano, Gracie Dortona and Tailor Dortona, and Several Nieces, Nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014, at St. Joseph's Church in Lincoln, N.H. with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Rochester, N.H. at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donation be made to the Linwood Area Senior Center, P. O. Box 461, Lincoln, N.H. 03251. Arrangements are in the care of the H. J.
