EARL HAS BEEN ONE OF MY HEROS SINCE I GRADUATED FROM H.S. AND UNIVERSITY. HIS ATHLETIC ACHIEVMENTS WERE NOTHING COMPARED TO HIS SINCERE "CARING" FOR OTHER'S LIVES. THE WORLD IS A LESSER PLACE SINCE HIS PASSING. GOD BLESS HIS FAMILY AND THE MANY FRIENDS THAT WHO WILL MISS HIM AND HIS GREAT SINCERE SMILE.

Earl Hersh had a major impact on my decision to become a high school football coach. It was a real honor
to take him to the Ted Williams Hitters Hall of Fame in Citrus Hills when he and Janet visited us during their golf trip to Crystal River FL. He will be missed and remembered.

Earl's smile could fill a room. He was a gentlman, a gentle giant, a man of great integrity, a real competitor. He's left a wonderful legacy in the sports world, but more than that, his kindness and friendship and love of family are an even greater legacy. Thanks, Earl, for sharing you life with us.

His athletic feats are well documented and deservedly so, but unknown are the thousands of lives of students and friends that he influenced throughout his life. He will be greatly missed but always remembered.

Just a note to say how sorry I was to hear of the loss of Mr. Hersh. He had a great influence on me and how to do things the right way. I am glad he gave me a chance to be a part of the Carroll County Educational System. He was such a positive role model and friend to all of those Physical Education teachers and coaches that worked under his leadership. He will be missed.

Sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Hersh. He was my 10th grade Civics teacher in 1962-63 at Westminster. He was a nice man and good teacher. Picture is so like him; always smiling.

Earl was a faithful Christian and dedicated churchman. When he was chairing the church trustees in 1995, I remember how kind he was to me as I moved from my Westminster rental into my own house. With his encouragement, the trustees gave me the washer and dryer from the old parsonage for my new house. He always encouraged me, smiled easily, and supported the ministry of Westminster United Methodist Church. I send my sympathy to Janet and family.
