I always looked forward to seeing my dear Uncle Richard whenever I came to Frederick. His beaming grin and sharp wit brought us all so much joy. His unassuming and humble nature also fit so well for a man who accomplished so much in his life both before and after his military service. I work on Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and each time I pass the hanger that bears your name Uncle Richard, I will remember you fondly. We are all better having known you. Go to your rest now and rejoin Ruth, and know you were loved.
