Charles Edward Dennison Obituary
Charles Edward Dennison, 87, of Frederick passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013. He was the beloved patriarch of the Dennison family, a loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

Born on February 7, 1926 in Logan, WV. He was the son of the late John Hugh Dennison and Nina Vincent Dennison. He grew up in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He Joined the Navy in 1942 and was a proud patriotic World War II veteran serving all over the South Pacific as a Gunners Mate. After he served in the military he went to New Castle, PA. where he attended Watchmakers School. There, he met his late wife of 21 years and lifelong friend Jacqueline Danforth (Dennison). He became a Master Machinist and owned his own business in Gaithersburg, MD for many years. His most prized hobby was spending time with his family. He also, enjoyed motorcycles, hiking, racket ball, and observing wildlife.

He was also preceded in death by his brother David Donald Dennison and wife Betty, his sister Bertha Jane Gibson and husband Garland, and great-granddaughter McKinley Bella Dennison.

Mr. Dennison is survived by two of his brothers Leroy Dennison and wife Grace and Vincent Dennison, both of Parkersburg, WV; four children, Shane Dennison of Frederick, MD, Sheila Dennison of Frederick, MD, Kim Strickland and husband David of Nashville, NC, Denise Jacoby and husband Dean of Thurmont, MD; nine grandchildren, Jason Dennison and wife Alison, Lisa Dennison, Jessica Pulliam and husband Matthew, Dane Brady, Deven Brady, Jacqueline Brady, Emily Dennison, Rachel Dennison and Aaron Jacoby; four great-grandchildren, Braeden Bartrum, Zan Pulliam, Sophia Dennison, and Dallas Jacoby and many nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Fund at wound edwarriorproject.org.
