Ms. Mary Ellen Aikens, 63, of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Thursday, Jan. 23, at her home.

Born Jan. 20, 1940, in Keedysville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Howard and Eva Rosie Earley Rohrer.

Ms. Aikens was a seamstress for Perfection Garment, and a former employee of National Fruit. She was also a caregiver in the Martinsburg area.

Surviving are one daughter, Deborah Sue Harmison of Martinsburg; two sons, Brian Lynn Aikens and Rodney Keith Aikens, both of Martinsburg; three brothers, Gary Rohrer of Newman, Ga., and Howard Rohrer and Melvin Rohrer, both of Boonsboro; six sisters, Betty Gatrell of Jefferson, Lillian Kephart of Keedysville, Goldie Mae Stottlemyer of Sharpsburg, Cheryl Remsburg of Jefferson, Barbara Miller of Sharpsburg, and Gloria Virginia Hawker of Jefferson; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Ms. Aikens was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Mitchell Aikens; and one son, Mitchell Leroy Aikens.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg, where funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, with Pastor Curt Lowry officiating.

Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
