Mildred I. Ahalt, 93, of Hanover, Pa., died Sunday, Dec. 3, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover.|
She was the wife of Floyd B. Ahalt, who died March 22, 1981.
Born Dec. 25, 1906, in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Zorah Lighter Ifert.
She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where she was a member of the sewing workshop.
She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Stambaugh of Hanover; one son, Mark Ahalt of Klamath Falls, Ore.; three brothers, Merhle Ifert and Page Ifert, both of Middletown, and David Ifert of Jefferson; and four sisters, Miriam Guyton of Taneytown, and Virginia House, Doris Beachley and Ruth Ellen Burrier, all of Middletown.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Slifer, and two brothers, Lee Ifert and Charles Ifert.
Friends may call at Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, on Wednesday, Dec. 6, until 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 7, at noon at Zion Lutheran Church, 107 W. Main St., Middletown, with the Rev. Robert N. Maddox officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the service begins.
