Miss Nellie Katherine "Belle" Abrecht, 70, died at her residence in Frederick on Tuesday evening, June 14.|
She was born in Frederick, July 30, 1934, a daughter of the late Clyde Smith Sr. and Wilmoth Ida Adams Abrecht.
Miss Abrecht was retired a number of years ago from the A.T.&T., after 30 years' service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Auxiliary of the Francis Scott Key, Post 11, American Legion. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and was devoted to her family.
Surviving are three brothers, Frank M. Abrecht, Walkersville, Gene William Abrecht and wife Elizabeth, Middletown, and Douglas Frederick Abrecht and wife Carolyn, Frederick; and one sister, Ruth Iris Ruthvin of Frederick; and her brother-in-law, Donald E. Sensenig, Yellow Springs. Also surviving are nieces, Donna (Suzie) Fitzpatrick, and Diane Sensenig and husband Jerry; and nephews, Douglas F. Abrecht Jr., Jeffrey David Abrecht and wife Cara, Gregory LeChiara Abrecht, and Dana Sensenig. Also surviving are other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Miss Abrecht was also survived by special friends, Rosemary Jordon, Betty Wills, Ethel Lightner, and Effie Fulmer.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde Smith "Buddy" Abrecht Jr., and James Franklin Abrecht; and sisters, Mary Frances Shankle, Dorothy Irene Sensenig, Winifred Morgan, and Katharine L. Abrecht.
In compliance with Miss Abrecht' s request, there will be no services and interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, Md., will be private.
Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., is in charge of the arrangements.
