Donald Stine Obituary
Donald E. Stine, 88, of Biglerville, PA entered Heaven on April 2, 2014 to enjoy eternal life won for him through the death and resurrection of his Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Jane Bowser Stine in 2012.

Brother Stine was born November 28, 1925 in Smithsburg, MD the son of the late Ellis and Margaret Barkdell Stine.

Donald was an active member and former minister at Upper Conewago Church of the Brethren and a member former minister and Elder at Rocky Ridge Church of the Brethren. He served both churches for almost 30 years, and remained active even after his retirement. He graduated from Fairfield High School and served in the US Army as a Ranger during World War II participating in the Battle of the Bulge. Following the service Donald drove a milk truck in the area from 1952 until 1962 and was involved with the construction of Site R near Blue Ridge Summit. Later he was a self employed school bus driver from 1963 until 2006. While doing all of this he was also a lifelong farmer and butcher in the upper Adams area. Mr. Stine was a former member of the Butler Township Planning Committee and an Agway Committeeman. He patronized the local 4-H beef club. In retirement Donald enjoyed gardening and visiting people he ministered to.

Brother Stine is survived by a son Roger L. Stine and his wife Judy of Dover, PA, a granddaughter, Ashley Stine and a great-grandson, Larrs Stine-Updegraff. He was predeceased by a grandson, Benjamin A. Stine.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7th at the Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg, PA at 10:00 AM with Brother Wilbur Slothour and Brother Alan Neil officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
