Naomi E. Harne Obituary
Naomi E. Harne, 94, of Church Hill Rd. Myersville, passed away Wednesday July 23, 2014 at Autumn Assisted Living of Hagerstown.

Born September 22, 1919 near Myersville, she was the daughter of the late John Henry & Lucy Virginia (Rice) Cline.

She was preceded in death by her husband James R. Harne December 21, 1987.

Mrs. Harne lived to help others. She always put others first before her own needs. She was a long-time member of St. John's Lutheran Church near Myersville, where she was organist & pianist for many years. She helped plan all the children's programs at the church. She was an avid quilter & she loved flowers & gardening. She loved to share her flowers & produce with others.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary L. Keeney & husband Monroe, one sister, Creola M. Fawley & husband Charles & numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence W. Cline.

Services will be held Saturday July 26, 2014 at 11:00am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home 12525 Bradbury Ave. Smithsburg, MD, with Rev. Jurgen Hilke officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery of Myersville.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm & 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home. Doors will be open all day for the convenience of the public.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Elsie Warnock 102 Locust Court Middletown, MD 21769 or to Garfield United Methodist Church 13628 Stottlemyer Rd. Smithsburg, MD 21783.
