Ida Elizabeth Williams Jackson, 59, of Taneytown, MD, was called home Tues., Sept. 18, 2012.|
She was the daughter of the late Lester Sr. and Audrey Williams of Coppermine Road in Union Bridge, MD.
Born May 2, 1953, in Carroll County, MD, Ida graduated from Linganore High in Frederick, MD, then worked 33 years at Bechtel (Xeron) in Montgomery and Frederick, MD. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church on West All Saints St., Frederick, MD.
Surviving are: five brothers, Robert Paige(Jeanie)of Henderson, NV, Lester Jr., Dwight (Paula), and Larry (Ruthann) Williams, all of Frederick; nine sisters, Thelma Williams of Taneytown, MD, BarbaraWallace(Wendell) of WV, Bonnie Brock, Joyce Williams, Etta Williams, and Loretta Snowden, all of Frederick, Charlotte Williams of Hagerstown, Venessa Williams of Baltimore, and Clara Myers of Johnsville; Aunt Minnie Williams of PA; four close friends, Raheal and Jackie Butler, Justine Anderson, and Alice Vinson, all of Frederick; numerousnieces, nephews, and cousins; and a great many friends at Bechtel (Xeron).
In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Williams Daughtry of Walkersville, MD.
Viewing will be held on Monday, Sept. 24 from 2-8 pm at the Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W. South St., Frederick, MD. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm. Homegoing services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at 11 am at Asbury United Methodist Church, 98 W. All Saints St., Frederick, MD 21703.
