Clara D'Onofrio Mozzano Obituary
Clara D'Onofrio Mozzano, 89, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in New Market, MD with family members by her side. She was the wife of the late Valentino Orlando Mozzano. Clara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Clara's primary passion in life was her family to whom she was totally devoted. She was the pillar of her family.

Clara was born on August 31, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the youngest of eleven children of Vincent and LuciaD'Onofrio(nee DelRosso) of Baltimore, MD. Clara lived part of her life in Italy with her husband and children and relocated to Maryland in 1969. Clara and Valentino retired in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she was a parishioner of St. Malachy Roman Catholic Church and an active member of the choir.

She was preceded in death by her D'Onofrio brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Arthur, Anthony, Michael, William, and Romeo; her sisters, Assunta Battistoni, Concetta D'Onofrio, and Esther Polino, as well as her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Valerie Lapi and Veronica Mozzano; son, Orlando Mozzano; son- in-law, Francesco Lapi; daughter-in-law, Theresa Mozzano; granddaughters, Valentina Lapi and AngelaCleveland; grandsons, Mario Lapi and his wife Camila, Anthony Cleveland, Valentino Mozzano, Michael Cleveland, and Louis Mozzano; great- grandson Matteus Lapi; immediate extended family, Melissa Kelly, Nora Russo and Tiffany Ferentinos, Donald Cleveland, Nicola Panichi; sisters-in-law, Mary D'Onofrio and Virginia D'Onofrio; many cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

The family will receive family and friends at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church at 9201 Church St. in Libertytown, MD on Saturday, October 6th from 12:00 ñ 3:00 PM in Sappington Hall. A mass will precede the reception at 11:00 AM in the church for those who would like to attend. Interment will be held in Sant'Omero, Italy at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be given in Clara's memory to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
