Evangelist Vinnie Mae Thomas Hoy, also known as Sis. Hoy or Grandma, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 30, 2012.|
Born on March 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Carrie L. Thomas. Mrs. Hoy was the loving faithful wife of the late Carroll E. Hoy, Sr.
She attended Lincoln High School and later became a beautician at Powder Puff beauty salon. She was also a faithful loving member of ICC of God for over forty years.
Left to cherish her memory are eight children; Joseph E. Thomas, Sr. (Kathy), Jerome N. Thomas, Sr., Tranessa M. Hoy Snowden (Tyrone), Wayne Z. Hoy, Sr., Darryl A. Hoy ( Joanna), Raymond E. Hoy, Sr., Frank R. Hoy, Sr. (Gloria), and Ann E. Hoy Jones; two brothers, Clyde Thomas and Elias Thomas; and one sister, Mildred Beard.
Mrs. Hoy is also survived by 60 grandchildren including Alva C. Giles and Saressa A. Greenwalt ( James);35 great grandchildren; two sister-in- laws, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. In addition to her parentsand husband, Mrs. Hoy was predeceased by her twin sister, Sis. Minnie M. Davis.
There will be a public viewing on Thur., Dec. 6, 2012 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W South Street, Frederick, MD and from 6 to 8 pm at the ICC Church of God located at 123 Byte Dr., Frederick, MD.
Funeral services will be held Fri., Dec. 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the ICC Church of God, 123 Byte Dr., Frederick, MD.
