Mr.  Donald R. Anderson Obituary
Mr. Donald R. Anderson, 85, of Knoxville, passed away on March 14, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a lengthy ill- ness. He was the husband of Joyce Anderson, his wife of 61 years.

Born Dec. 15, 1927 in Brunswick, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Nina Mae Anderson. Donald graduated from Brunswick High School in 1946 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly thereafter. He served as a submariner based in Cuba, and after his Naval service returned to Brunswick where he worked on the Railroad until his retirement in 1990. He was a Life Member of the Moose Lodge 1582, a member of American Legion Post 96, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1136, all in Brunswick.

In addition to his loving wife, Donald is survived by a daughter, Tana Crance & husband Michael; two grandchildren, Kimberly Colby & husband Michael, and Matthew Crance & wife Christina; three great- grandchildren, Lydia, Calvin, and John; two sisters-in-law, Betty Anderson and Betty Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, and other friends & relatives. The youngest of six, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 17th from 3 - 5 PM at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 18th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702. Arrangements are with Resthaven Funeral Services, Skkot Cody P.A. in Frederick.
